Parentkind - Asda Rewards

Parentkind – the charity that supports school PTAs - have teamed up with Asda, who is making millions of pounds available to donate to primary schools across the UK through their ‘Cashpot for Schools’ initiative –  all you have to do is, opt in through the Asda Rewards app, choose our primary school and shop and scan in store or shop online at Asda.com, between 2nd September and 30th November 2024

Asda will donate 0.5% of the value of your shop to our Primary school. Also, every time somebody opts in, Asda will give an additional £1 to the school Cashpot. Plus, it doesn’t stop there – Asda are also giving £50 to every school to get them started.

The supermarket has joined forces with Joe Wicks to support the initiative – look out for the TV advert, radio ads and social media coverage

Asda does the rest, all money raised will be donated to schools to spend on the things they need the most!

Message from Community Education

Kelty has been allocated a sum of £15 000 to spend on projects that will benefit the community.

This money has been set aside from the Local Community Planning Budget for the Area for the benefit of the community. Through a participatory budgeting process, residents of Kelty will prioritise what projects could be funded to help the community connect with and support each other.

Residents are being asked to come up with ideas for projects to improve the local community.  It could be an environmental or physical improvement, a community event, a project to raise public awareness or something which makes people feel safer - as long as it brings improvement.

Who can apply?
Community groups, voluntary organisations and social enterprises which deliver genuine ‘added value’.  Projects should not replace services that should be, and are being, provided through mainstream budgets.

Who can’t apply?
Individuals, groups or organisations who already receive over £10,000 a year in Fife Council funding. Statutory organisations cannot apply unless working in partnership with a group of local people.

Timeline
16 September 2024 – 5PM
Applications close and project shortlisting begins
30 September 2024
Kelty decides voting event at Kelty Community Centre from 4pm-6pm.
Members of the public can vote for the project they would like to receive funding.  A representative from all shortlisted applications must attend this event.
Please click on the link below for application form or contact Fungai Moetsabi on the details below.

Please write names on your children's clothes/water bottle/packed lunch boxes

Please write names on your children's clothes/shoes/water bottle/packed lunch boxes.

This would really help the staff especially when it comes to changing for gym times (P1/2 is particularly challenging) or lost coats and cardigans that have been left in the playground.

The children don't seem to recognize their own stuff, so a name written on a label with a pen would help massively.

Thank you for your support with this matter.
